In the depths of the forest, surrounded by hundreds of eerie red and purplish mushrooms, with white spots and lace-like corollas, a thousand-djamns-old tree stands proudly. The man felt ecstatic and didn't wait a second longer to pronounce the chant.
“O Druindar, I invoke your wisdom.”
An elven form emerged from the trunk and spoke these words: “Courageous were thy steps that brought thee to this place. A reward is owed for such a journey. A wish thou shalt have, and never again shalt thou return."
The man thought hard and eventually decided on this, "I wish for abundance!"
“So be it. Be gone and never return, or be underground thou wilt earn."
The form returned to the tree disappearing completly in it, and the man returned home, very satisfied. In front of his house, rather than seeing the expected wealth, he discovered a mountain of shoes. Furious, he returned to the magic tree and shouted at it.
“I asked for abundance, not shoes!”
The shape emerged again from the bark and glared at him.
“Abundance is a vast word, without reflection it can bring many disappointments and evils. Despite being forbidden, thou hast returned to plea, so here is what is due thee."
Before the man had time to flee, he was transformed into a purplish-red mushroom with white spots.
